We have an opening at Pinewood Lodge, a village of accommodation big and small set in the picturesque Queenstown, New Zealand with stunning views of the Remarkables. Set on three acres only minutes from the centre of Queenstown, this property boasts 130 rooms and caters for diverse groups from backpackers in shared rooms and facilities to family accommodation in one-bedroom suites, cabins and apartments and keen adventure seeking travellers.

Pinewood Lodge has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor with a keen eye for detail to join our Housekeeping Team. The right candidate will need to be a team player and has experience in a Housekeeping Team Leader or Supervisory role. A flexible schedule and ability to accommodate busy seasonal periods is preferred.

The Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising the on ground delivery of housekeeping duties to maintain a consistent standard of cleanliness across all guest accommodation, public areas and other property facilities that meet or exceed guest expectations.


Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Resort and hospitality industry knowledge
  • Previous leadership experience in cleaning management or housekeeping
  • Hands-on approach to tasks and responsibilities
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Commitment to safe work practices
  • Effective coaching, mentoring and training abilities
  • Excellent team player with strong communication and prioritising skills
  • Capacity to delegate tasks efficiently and ensure quality outcomes
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation standards
  • Maintain excellent grooming and presentation standards
  • Consistently deliver exceptional customer service to ensure high guest satisfaction
  • Excel as a team player with strong communication and prioritization abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail, thriving in demanding environments
  • Flexibility to a work a variety of shifts over a 7 day a week roster and ability to accommodate busy seasonal periods



  • Relevant resort / hotel / executive housekeeping experience essential
  • Certificate in Business / Hospitality / Tourism highly regarded
  • Leading a diverse team to achieve a high guest satisfaction and meet business objectives
  • Inventory management
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s licence
  • First Aid Certificate, highly regarded 


Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate: $28.41 to $29.66 
  • Permanent, Full Time employment: 30hrs min – 50hrs max
