We have a vacancy in Queenstown at Pinewood Lodge, a village of varied accommodation set in picturesque Queenstown, New Zealand, with stunning views of the Remarkables. Set on three acres only minutes from the centre of Queenstown, Pinewood Lodge boasts 130 rooms and caters for diverse guests from backpackers in shared rooms and facilities, keen adventure-seekers in one-bedroom suites, and family accommodation in cabins and apartments.


A rare opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated person to join Pinewood Lodge as the Front Office Supervisor.  Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, this full-time role is responsible for managing the front office function.


About the Role

You will be an integral part of the Pinewood Lodge team, supporting the Manager, and ensuring accurate processing of all guests and external operator accounts whilst mainlining a high level of communication with all resort departments.

Key to your success will be your strong leadership, organisation, customer focus, and high standards.

Your proven background in a fast-paced accommodation environment will be highly regarded.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in accommodation services in a resort, backpacker or hotel environment
  • Previous experience and a strong desire to effectively lead and coach others
  • The ability to lead diverse teams to achieve high guest satisfaction
  • High standards and experience in providing exceptional experiences for hotel guests
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • The ability to solve problems with sound decision making skills
  • Strong time management, organisational skills and a high level attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and level-headed under pressure
  • Commitment to safe working practices



  • Permanent Full Time, 30hrs per week min
  • Available to work 5 days, covering weekdays and weekends
  • Can provide a Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
  • Able to work evening shift if required

Salary & Benefits

Competitive hourly rate: $28.41 to $31.61
